What is CNC Machining?

CNC machining is a manufacturing process in which computers run software that controls how machines produce their parts. CNC machining is a widely used method in manufacturing and industrial production.

Some programs are needed to be able to use CNC machines. AutoCAD, Solidworks etc. programs are programs used to transmit NC (numerical control) codes to CNC machines. Thanks to these programs (AutoCAD, Solidworks), the parts to be produced are saved as NC files and transferred to the CNC machine via an external memory. After the necessary controls are made, production begins.
Metal, plastic, wood, foam etc. materials are easily processed in CNC machines.

What are the Advantages of CNC Machining?

CNC machining has many advantages. The biggest advantage is that it facilitates mass production by preventing time loss. Having significantly reduced manpower, adjustment, measurement, control, manual movement, etc. completely eliminated the loss of time caused by such reasons. There is no need for qualified people because it is a computer-aided system, so the problems arising from the operator in production are also eliminated.

What Are the Disadvantages of CNC Machining?

As with any system, CNC machining has advantages as well as disadvantages. The first of these is the price of the machine, depending on the model and features, and requires an expensive investment. It requires regular maintenance and additional costs may arise in case of malfunction.
